CALL FOR CHALLENGES AND/OR PROJECT IDEAS
This Call for Challenges and/or Project Ideas invites researchers and WAITRO members to sketch water-related challenges and/or
project ideas. The following guideline may help you to elaborate your description of the challenge and/or project idea:
a) Title: Please give your challenge and/or project idea a specific title.
b) Please create an acronym.
c) Problem Statement: Describe the water-related challenge that you
are committed to solve.
This section should be no more than one page.
d) Approach: If you have an idea, how the problem could be solved – please describe it (optional). In this case, write a few short
paragraphs or bullet points on your overall approach for solving the problem. Are you using or extending current technologies or
projects tackling the problem? If so, reference and very briefly explain them. This section should be no more than one page.
e) Outcome: Describe the impact that your project will have.
What should be the ideal outcome and how does your project
contribute to sustainable development?
This section should be no more than half a page.
f) Partner Profile: Describe your ideal partner’s profile. What should
they be specialized in? Is it desirable for them to have specific
connections or use cases?

This section should be no more than half a page. The recommended length of the different sections is given assuming
a document length of 2 to 3 pages’ maximum.
