ENRICH in Brazil Training on Impact Evaluation of R&I Programmes
On the 13 – 15 December 2018, ENRICH in Brazil has offered a Training Course on ‘Impact Evaluation of Research & Innovation Programmes’, hosted by CNI in Brasília. ENRICH in Brazil Partner organisation UNICAMP conducted the successul training and presented concepts, methods and cases of impact evaluation on the domain of STI policy and programs in order to contribute to enlarge capabilities of professionals on the public and private sectors to the interested participants. The training course gave the participants the opportunity to explore the foundations and re-cent developments of impact evaluation of policies, programs and institutions in the realm of research and innovation (R&I). The training was structured into four main pillars:
- fundamentals of STI evaluation,
- planning and conducting STI evaluation,
- applied methodologies and
- settin-up an evaluation.
According to participants the training course helped them to achieve their personal and organisational targets and goals: “the event provided me with new specific knowledge that I would like to incorporate to my daily work in order to do advocacy and improve my projects‘ impacts. Today the institution I work for doesn’t have systematic evaluation, and I believe that the tools I have acquired can help me to introduce them to our work” (based on the evaluation results of the training course).
