TecnoPARQ becomes new Soft Landing Hub

The tecnoPARQ (Viçosa’s Technological Park) is one of the units of Viçosa’s Technological Center of Regional Development (CenTev), organ that has direct ties to the Rectory of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). Inaugurated on April 15th of 2011, it was the first technological park of Minas Gerais to be operational. With a total area of 214 hectares, it has 174 hectares of environmental preservation and 40 hectares set aside for urbanization and occupation by companies with technological base and research, development and innovation (P, D & I) Centers.
The UFV’s technological relevance and intense technical and scientific production make it an important anchor for technological, economic and social development. For the insertion of knowledge and the research developed by the UFV in the technological innovation processes it is necessary the interaction with companies capable of developing new products, services and processes for society. The promotion of this interaction for the exchange of knowledge and technology, in support of ventures with technological base for the capitalization of scientific knowledge, is one of the main actions performed by the tecnoPARQ.
The tecnoPARQ is a differentiated environment for innovation, both in what pertains to its functioning and structure and what concerns the products, services and benefits offered to the business and academic community and society in general.

The tecnoPARQ offers interaction with the UFV, synergy among companies and networking: ease of access to UFV’s advanced scientific and technological knowledge, research centers and renowned specialized laboratories; consultancy, advising and support in management of intellectual property through UFV’s Center of Technological Innovation (Permanent Committee of Intellectual Property CPPI/UFV); business qualification programs; advising in communication, publicity and marketing; orientation on capturing resources and elaborating projects, promotion and support for technological innovation and entrepreneurial activities, business missions and business meetings; consultancies in legal, financial, marketing and administrative areas; support for technological prospection and competitive intelligence performed through the Relnova Program; ease of access to the Program SebraeTec, Sebrae’s Services in Innovation and Technology; shared use of differentiated environments, such as meeting rooms and training programs, auditoriums, convenience areas, facilities, cafeterias and other supporting services.
The tecnoPARQ is a promoting agent of the innovating culture, industrial competitiveness, business qualification and exchange of knowledge and technology among universities, research institutions and companies, with the goal of promoting the generation of riches for the community and the regional development.

As accredited Soft Landing Hub of ENRICH in Brazil, TecnoParQ will now deliver soft-landing and incubation services on behalf of ENRICH in Brazil, such as:
- Localization guidance – assistance to find the most suitable space to start operating in Brazil
- Co-working space offer – Temporary or permanent individual open seating, dedicated office seats as well as private offices could be offered.
- Administrative and Secretariat support (licenses to operate in Brazil, translation services, office support, etc.).
- Compliance check on laws and regulations affecting RDI-related activities (e.g.: trials, scientific equipment imports, etc.).
- Introduction to the local scientific and business community.
