Not only sanitarily has the pandemic brought us into trouble, but several sectors are also suffering severely around the world from the economic situation caused by the preventive measures.

ENRICH in Brazil has therefore launched in 2020 its first Innovation Challenge, aimed at matching the needs of Brazilian non-for profit organisations with innovative and tailored solutions proposed by European companies and organisations.

The Innovation Challenge consisted of two parts

1) Call for Challenges on the BR Market

2) Call for Solutions on the EU Market

Based on the Call for Challenges, ENRICH in Brazil has launched in June 2020, three Brazilian challenges has been identified. In total 30 challenges have been received, and assessed on the critieria of Innovativeness, Scalability, Importancy, Urgency and Solvability. The Evaluation Committee consisted of European and Brazilian experts from the ENRICH in Brazil partners.

The three selected challenges were covering the following areas: 1) Nature Tourism & Digitalisation, 2) Health & Digitalisation and 3) Sustainable Developement & Digitialisation.

In August ENRICH opened the call for solutions to solve the above mentioned challenges. For each challenge ENRICH received up to four competetive solutions from European companies. Pitching Session were organised and finally two solutions have been selected:

  • Challenge 1: Nature Tourims & Digitalisation  – Solution will be provided by the Irish Company TRIFT
