The CNI – the National Confederation of Industry, was founded in Brazil in 1938, with the aim of accelerating, facilitating, and making sustainable the process of industrialization of a country of 8.5 million square kilometres, which today has nearly 208 million inhabitants, and about 700 thousand industries of different kind, sector and size. CNI defends the interests of Brazilian industries, positioning itself as the main interlocutor of this sector with the executive, legislative and judicial institutions of the country, and it works in partnership with numerous organizations in Brazil and around the world. CNI represents Brazil’s 27 industrial federations and 1,250 sectoral employers’ unions.

It is in this context that the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná, is one of the most active member of the Brazilian industrial system, both in terms of general education and professional education, as well as safety and well-being at work and innovation. 

The Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (Sistema Fiep) articulates and foster local innovation ecosystems in the State of Paraná, in Brazil, performs applied research and development projects through its own technology and innovation institutes, helps companies implementing their innovation processes and strategies, and incubates and accelerates startups, through a well-developed and proved acceleration process.

• Localization guidance – assistance to find the most suitable space to start operating in Brazil
• Co-working space offer – Temporary or permanent individual open seating, dedicated office seats as well as private offices could be offered.
• Administrative and Secretariat support (licenses to operate in Brazil, translation services, office support, etc.).
• Compliance check on laws and regulations affecting RDI-related activities (e.g.: trials, scientific equipment imports, etc.).
• Introduction to the local scientific and business community.
