H2020 Bio-based Industries (BBI) Joint Undertaking (JU)

The Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking is a €3.7 billion Public-Private Partnership between the EU and the Bio-based Industries Consortium. Operating under Horizon 2020, it is driven by the Vision and Strategic Innovation and Research Agenda (SIRA) developed by the industry.

Strategic orientations:

Feedstock, Process, Products, and Market uptake.

Call timing:

  • Publication of topic texts (via the Annual Work Plan 2018): December 2017
  • Call opening (indicative): 11 April 2018 
  • Call closure (indicative): Thursday 6 September 2018, 17:00 CET 
  • Proposal evaluations (indicative): October – November 2018
  • Results sent to applicants (indicative): December 2018
