Brazilian Technology Platform (BRAFIP)

The Brazilian Technology Platform (BRAFIP) is an outstanding outcome of the FIRST project, being this a collaborative initiative funded by the European Commission Seventh Framework Program in order to foster International Cooperation in technological areas such as Future Internet, ICT Components and systems between Europe and Latin America.

BRAFIP is the Brazilian Technology Platform created in 2011, under the FIRST Project.

The original objective was fostering R&D&I in the field of ICT related to Future Internet.

FIRST aims to extend the concept of European Technology Platforms (ETPs) to Latin American, by means of gathering strategic stakeholders from diverse areas, such as Future Internet, and ICT Components & Systems, into one national ICT Technology Platform per country, in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico.
